"That's the Ticket"
Thursday, July 21, 2011
What is it? “THAT’S THE TICKET!” (TTT!) is a merchant engagement program for local businesses and the 2011 Mill Valley Film Festival (MVFF). The MVFF has theaters in downtown Mill Valley and downtown San Rafael, generating a hub of excitement and potential customers for local businesses.
Why participate? After last year’s incredibly successful implementation of TTT!, the MVFF wants to continue to give back to you - the businesses in our community. Our 2010 Festival attendance was over 40,000 and we expect even bigger crowds this year! We were able to work with a variety of businesses including multiple Peet’s Coffee locations, The Tyler Florence Shop, Whole Foods, Union Bank, Rebound Bookstore, and Evo Spa. By signing up your business’s name will be circulated festivalgoers. Plus you can create your own in store promotion.
How it works: By signing up for TTT!, the MVFF will help push traffic to your business in exchange for creating a co-promotion offering a discount or special purchase for customers during the month of October. Customers must show their MVFF ticket at the time of purchase, and participating businesses will manage their own discounts. For example: get 20% off a facial, or merchandise; a free appetizer with purchase of regular priced dinner; buy one ice cream and get the second free, etc. The more enticing the offer, the more likely people will respond to your promotion!
The MVFF will:
● Include your business on our “That’s The Ticket!” web page with a live link to your website.
●Furnish promotional materials at key locations during the festival including the festival box offices, theaters and other locations. (Example: “Be sure to visit these “That’s the Ticket” local merchants for exciting discounts and special purchases!”)
● Provide you with a promotional flier that can be customized for emailing and displaying at your business. Participating businesses will:
● Provide your business name and website link (for MVFF use online and printed)
● Give a discount to customers during the month of October, when they present a MVFF ticket. -- PLEASE DO NOT TAKE TICKETS FROM CUSTOMER --
● Inform your customers about “That’s The Ticket!” via email blasts, in-store signage, postcards, and (if appropriate) existing / pre-scheduled newspaper & radio ads, etc.
● Have festival schedules on-hand for customers (available after September 13).
We hope you will join us for the 34th Annual Mill Valley Film Festival and this years “That’s The Ticket!” co-promotion! Friday, August 19th is the deadline to make the printed version of participants - though we HIGHLY RECOMMEND signing up now to get the full promotion time.
