On Saturday, July 11th, more than 12,000 spectators and 700 cyclists will descend upon the streets of Downtown San Rafael for a distinctly Amercian brand of bike racing. The Criterium race is not a meandering country wide tour.
It is a cycling's short-fast-adrenaline filled answer to Nascar- a race that makes fans as much a part of the action as the riders.
More than just a race, The San Rafael Twilight Criterium is a festival of cycling.
