WHEN:   Saturday May 9, 2009    Noon till 9:00 p.m.

WHERE:   Downtown San Rafael, 4th St.

The streets of Downtown San Rafael will come alive once again as the tradition of  “cruising” and  50’s and 60’s nostalgia  as one of the North Bays largest  car displays and parade comes to Fourth Street for the 22nd consecutive year.

Hundreds of classic automobiles, custom hot rods, and vintage roadsters will be on display as thousands of spectators come from throughout the Bay Area to view these classic street machines of yester year, cruise the main drag of Fourth Street, and enjoy food, the “May Madness Beer Garden” (hosted by local Marin County breweries), and listen to some of the best dance bands in California.

Music:   “Big Bang Beat” will headline this year’s main music stage on the plaza.  “Big Bang Beat” brings the 50’s 60’s and 70’s alive with their unique blend of Motown, Rock, and Swing music.   Also appearing, EMI recording artists “Five A.M.”    Voted “Best Bay Area Rock Band” for two consecutive years, Five AM.” has opened for such acts as Train, Maroon Five and many more!  San Francisco Bay Area’s CoverGrrlz are five rockin’ women dedicated to delivering a thrilling tribute to rock’s great songs and stars, with plenty of energetic show to go with it!
