World Series Trophy Comes to San Rafael:

Event date: Wednesday, February 23, 2011, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM

Location: B Street Community Center, 618 B Street

For more than 52 years, Giants fans from throughout Northern California have demonstrated their unwavering support for the team. The World Champions Trophy Tour brings the championship celebration directly to the fans throughout Northern California, Southern Oregon and Western Nevada with special stops in Arizona and New York and allows the Giants to say thank you for 52 years of dedication to the orange and black. One of the tour stops will be our San Rafael Community Center on February 23rd.

World Series Trophy Photo.jpg Giants fans are invited to come view the Trophy. The Trophy will be on display from 10:30am - 12:30pm. The Giants and their partners will do their best to accommodate all fans, but the lines will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis in the manner necessary to keep the viewing and tour on schedule and to always ensure the safety of those in line.

There is no charge to attend the Trophy viewing. Fans do have the opportunity to have a professional photo taken with the trophy and will be able to purchase those prints online.

May Madness Classic Car Parade and Rockin’ Street Dance is now accepting applications for their 24^th annual event held Saturday May 7^th on Fourth Street in down town San Rafael. Deadline is May 2^nd. Registration forms are available (here) or by calling Joanne at the BID (415) 720-5591. Space is limited so sign up right away. The event is from noon until 6:00pm with the Hot Rod Parade starting at 5:00pm. Trophies will be awarded in several categories.

May Madness, the longest running Street Rod Show and Parade in Northern California. This year we are adding extra features to create an even more spectacular show.

This is a fun, free family event. Enjoy live music, great food and beverage, raffles, children’s activities and more on May 7^th 2011 at the 24^th annual May Madness in San Rafael.
