Walking Tours. Visit the past as you make connections to historic places in downtown San Rafael with the Marin History Museum’s walking tour program on the 3rd Saturday of the month, beginning at 10:00 am at the Boyd Gate House, 1125 B Street, San Rafael, in Boyd Memorial Park. Docents will guide you to sites related to Marin’s past and pioneers, ending at about 11:15 am. Free parking is available at the parking lots of West America and Circle Banks on B Street. Following your walk, step inside and experience the Victorian gate house, built in 1879, as you explore our current exhibition, “Riding the Rails: Marin’s Historic Trains,” and our family activity room with crafts, books and games.
